The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Ahoy!

Oh gosh! I leave in a day (slightly less because my flight is at 6am, so I have to be at the airport at 4am, so early, yuck haha). I’m a little stress trying to get everything done and ready to go, but I’m also super excited! That being said, I’ll be gone for 2 months so everyone be nice to Kim while she holds down the Book Munchies’ fort!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

1. *Reverse Author Interviews: Info & Sign Up”
So this is an event Bookmunchies will be hosting in April, do sign up! Even if it’s only one day! Basically some awesome authors has asked us (as readers, bloggers etc) for some answers in regards to what we think about the book world (from anything about love lines, to ethics, to how do you pick your books etc. etc.!). So this is a good chance for us to share our thoughts with our beloved authors (:

2. As you guys probably know by now, I’ll be off backpacking/travelling for the next two months! I should have internet access, but for the most part Kim will be holding down the fort while I am away. I do have some reviews and WoWs lined up anyways though. The reviews are mostly books I’v read a while back but haven’t gotten the chance to post reviews yet.

3. Congratulations to Na, for winning the Book Munchie’s February Romance Shenanigan giveaway! I hope you enjoy your book!

In My Mailbox 2

One in the mailbox this week, and what an awesome one it was! Thanks to Harper Collins and Epic Reads for the arc copy!

Requiem - Lauren Oliver(01) Requiem by Lauren Oliver

They have tried to squeeze us out, to stamp us into the past.

But we are still here.

And there are more of us every day.

Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight.

After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor.

Maybe we are driven crazy by our feelings.

Maybe love is a disease, and we would be better off without it.

But we have chosen a different road.

And in the end, that is the point of escaping the cure: We are free to choose.

We are even free to choose the wrong thing.

Definitely excited to finish off the series! Quick question though, should I read the novella Hana? Will it enhance my reading experience of this book? haha. Also, thoughts on this cover? I think it’s gorgeous. (My copy is the over cover haha).
