Sunday Post (26) / Stacking the Shelves (06)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello!

So the 15th was my birthday! And I’ve basically been spreading out the celebration over a week now haha. My friends & I started on Tuesday with a wine and cheese night, on my birthday we went to a Brazilian steakhouse and had the rodizio (all you eat meat!), Friday we did a movie night with cider, snacks and cake. Ended up with lots of new dresses haha oh and of course I got a gift card for books (:

Woot, more books in the mailbox! I love getting packages haha. Also books from library and a few for reviews. (Click the title to get to Goodreads)

(02) Girl of Nightmare by Kendare Blake
(03) The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
(04) The Black Prism by Brent Weeks

Ended up buying more books because my cousin wanted to, so we split the shipping cost haha. Finally own my own copies of the Anna series! Now I can re-read it whenever (: and I grabbed my brother The Lighting Thief because it’s such an awesome book. I also ended up with The Black Prism because my friend says it’s pretty awesome and it was really cheap so I couldn’t resist haha.

IMG_2301(05) The Wallflower Series by Tomoko Hayakawa

Just realized the library got a bunch of new volumes! The Wallflower is definitely one of my favourite manga series. It’s just so macabre but in an absolutely hilarious adorable way. Excited to get back into this series! Missing Vol. 28 though. oops.

Gareth - Grace Burrowes(06) Gareth by Grace Burrowes

So, I may have requested this book because it’s called Gareth and I love the name Gareth…I mean, ooh, this book sounds interesting. Art of seduction, romance, scandals! oh la la.

To All the Rakes I've Loved Before - Anne Barton(07) To All the Rakes I’ve Loved Before by Anne Barton

I really liked When She Was Wicked, the first book in the Honeycote series, and I hope this adorable sounding novella will tide me over until book 2 (Once She Was Tempted) comes out in October.

What a great haul! I’ve heard about When she was wicked – I really need to check it out. Is the novella strictly after the first book?

Great books here! I’ve been meaning to read The Lightning Thief because I love anything to do with Greek mythology.
